Yes,
adding an extra leaf would get you up another inch or so. However doing so
will stiffen the springs causing a harsh ride.
My
concern is with what you say about what happened when you installed the
Load Level shocks (shocks with coil springs). If doing so raised the rear of your car, then I'll bet that the springs are shot.
Go to Reusing Old Leaves
and look at the pictures. If your
springs look any thing like these, don't waste your money trying to do
anything with the old springs. Replace them with new ones, you will be
much happier with the outcome. - Mike
