Our Drop Dead Beautiful 1947 Ford Sedan Delivery

The conversation between Randy Clark of Hot Rods and Custom Stuff and Mike Eaton at dinner that fateful night in Louisville in the fall of 1998 went something like:

"We need a street rod to do shows"

1947 Sedan Delivery

"Yea, Mike you do"

"It has to be something that we can haul our show stuff in"

"Yea, Mike it must"

"It has to be our traveling business card"

"Yea, Mike it should"

"I'm gonna have to think about this"

"Yea, Mike you just did"

"Let's have it ready for AmeriCruise"

......... "Mike, you're nuts".

Back to California went Randy and by the 1999 Americruise one of the finest 47 Fords around was ready.

Daniel Ingham. HRCS webmaster, has done a terrific job documenting the complete building of the '47 from start to finish, including it's maiden trip on the 1999 AmeriCruise. So go check it out.

This '47 is no trailer queen, it is driven everywhere. From the West Coast to the East Coast. From the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula (geography test) to Florida. Yet it is still invited to shows and wins trophies.
