Off to California |
| |
Street
rods are meant to be driven. Trailer queens move over, let the true rodders
through.
Drive
ours we do. Built in 1999 and with just over 50 miles on the odometer we left
Escondido, CA and headed to Madison, WI with the Americruise bunch. If you have
never done an Americruise, do it. |
| |
Now
four years and 33,000 plus miles later it is time for a tune-up and there is
only one place for the job, The Man who built it, Randy Clark and Hot Rods and
Custom Stuff in Escondido, CA. And there was only one way to get it there from
Detroit, MI - Drive It
|
| |
On
the trip across the country the co-pilot took over 2,500 digital pictures to
record the trip. If customers stop ordering long enough we will sort through
them all and put together a nice collage. Until then, enjoy some of the
interesting shots taken. |
|

Time
to load up and tell a couple of it's garage mates good bye, see ya in the
spring. |

1st
stop Bristol Bash at Bristol Motor Speedway. Life is not all play
|
|

OK
a little play is all right
That's
Mike going round and round and round |

%#@*% Fuel Pump |
|

Trees
are not the only old thing in the Petrified Forest
|

A quick side trip the Grand Canyon |
|

We
arrive in Simi Valley just in time for the big fire. Last time we were in
California there was a major earthquake. Arnold says "you will not be
back"
|

3,400
miles after we start we arrive at Hot Rods and Custom Stuff.
Stay
tuned for updates for the return trip. |
